Workshop Patrimonio Cíes

At an enclave as Vigo’s estuary, with the very Cíes Islands in the background, takes place the “Cíes World Heritage UNESCO” Congress, organised by the Council of Vigo in the role of driving force and promoter of the candidacy. This Congress stands as a space for scientific knowledge exchange regarding the various dimensions that would have to be justified by any property which aims to be included in the World Heritage List UNESCO.

The event, which will take place the 22nd of June 2018, means an important opportunity to share scientific knowledge, national and international, around the property, in order to foster a scientific debate about the Exceptional Universal Value and the characteristics and attributes of the whole of the Cíes Islands, that justifies its suitability to be included in the World Heritage List.
